Someone recommended Charlie's Soap to me and I decided to give it a shot. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am!! How refreshing that I only need to add a tablespoon instead of a cup of detergent to each load! I was also truly shocked that my clothes came out so clean, cleaner than anything I have ever used before. I am a true convert and my husband is impressed too...and that says a lot!

I found out about Charlie's Soap while researching cloth diapering; I decided to switch detergents (as well as eliminating my other toxic cleaning chemicals) before our baby comes.
I never expected the impact it would have on my husband...he has mild asthma (only uses his inhaler before basketbal, etc...) and was quite accustomed to waking up stuffy every morning, BEFORE we switched to Charlie's Soap! Now, he can tell immediately if I try to pass off a towel or a pillowcase that was previously laundered with our old detergent/fabric softener because he gets wheezy...I don't know that he ever would've figured out what was doing it before we switched detergents! What pleases my husband even more is the money we save now that fabric softener is obsolete; I love that my towels don't feel sticky from all the residue anymore!

I love love love this soap!!! For all my life I have only been able to use a couple of name brand detergents and using those free and clear products I still needed to add an additional rinse to my items. After hearing about this product and someone sending me a bit to try (sensitive skin left me skeptical) I am now offically a customer of Charlies Soap. This soap works better than the free and clears I was using. I only regret that I didn't find Charlies sooner. Gone are the days of having to hunt for an HE free and clear brand that I couldn't always find when I needed it. Charlie's Soap is all I need. It's safe for my family's skin,safe for my high efficiency washer and quickly arrives right to my front door eliminating the hunt. Thank you Charlies Soap
Charlie's Soap Rocks! I've never had anything but good luck with Charlie's. I used it on our cloth diapers and had fantastic results. Since then, everything gets washed in Charlie's and we love it! My kids always comment on how strong all their friend's clothes smell and even kinda stink with all the perfumes and theirs just smell clean. With the laundry detergent working so well, we decided to try the all-purpose cleaner. Wow is all I can say! Not only did it clean everything better than anything I have yet used, it didn't give me a headache doing it! Our pup had an 'accident' on the rug and not only did the a-p cleaner get the stain out, it got the odor as well. That's how you know it's clean and not just covered up. Thanks for a great and responsible product Charlie!

I purchased a BIG bucket of Charlie's soap in December after finding it from an Internet search for "hypoallergenic detergent." My Dad is a resident in a long-term care facility, and he had been having major issues with raw and painful skin. The nurses at Dad's facility are super ... they had worked hard at finding some way to get Dad relief from the pain and itching, but with little success. Finally, as a last ditch effort, I bought Charlie's Soap and got permission to do ALL of Dad's laundry at my home, including his bedding. There was no "magic" cure, but after a couple of months the change in Dad's skin condition became remarkably clear. The CNAs who care for Dad began commenting on how much better he looked (one said that "his skin looks 200% better!") And, a couple of weeks ago when an infection landed Dad in the hospital for several days, the caregivers there (who remembered him from earlier stays) also marveled at how much his skin condition has improved. I am certain the difference is Charlie's Soap. It is the only detergent that I use anymore, and the only "fabric softener" that I use is plain old white vinegar in the first rinse. Our clothes - and all of Dad's laundry - come out clean and soft, and smell wonderfully like nothing! Super product ... one that I recommend wholeheartedly to anyone. I am a caregiver for my mom who is bedridden with dementia. I have laundry problems that defy most folks' imaginations! I recently purchased a High Efficienty (HE) washer and heard about Charlie's Soap on a soapmaking forum. Even though HE washers use only a fraction of the amount of detergent as regular ones, I did NOT believe that ONE little scoop of Charlie's Soap was gonna cut the mustard!!
This stuff is amazing. I am halfway through my first 80 load bag and have been using it now for six weeks or so and I can assure you I have put the stuff through the laundry from hell tests! I have very hard, alkaline water, but Charlie's Soap works better than any other detergent I have ever used.
I DO use other additives with it sometimes, depending on the stains and dirt I am trying to remove, but I used those same additives in far greater amounts before and the laundry (both in the new HE washer and the old Kenmore) is cleaner now. I no longer use fabric softener or dryer sheets because there is no need to do so.
