High-efficiency washers — also known as HE washers — are designed to use less water and energy each time you do a load of laundry. Even with less water and energy, HE washers can typically do more laundry than their traditional counterparts. However, most people think that you have to use an HE laundry detergent to get the best clean. Charlie’s Soap respectfully disagrees.

Our natural laundry detergents are perfectly safe for HE washers and can deliver a better clean than other commercial products. That’s because Charlie’s Soap rinses completely clean — leaving your clothes free of residue, toxins, fragrances, and irritants.

Now, all that’s left to do is make the switch! Here are some helpful tips when using Charlie’s Soap with your HE washing machine:

  • Leave your washer on the Heavy Soil setting for extra agitation. You can add dryer balls to increase this as well.
  • If your washer rarely uses enough water, use the Bulky Cycle setting or add a wet towel to the wash.
  • Add Charlie’s Soap directly to your clothes instead of the dispenser. Be sure your washer’s drum doesn’t drain before starting its wash cycle.
  • Double rinse.

If you have a front loader, leave the door open to prevent a buildup of odor. For top loaders without an agitator, follow your manual closely for how to load the machine!
