Take Your Time
Cleaning the outside of your home is a big job. Be sure to give yourself adequate time to make it worth your while. For many, it’s best to break the project down into smaller cleaning tasks.
Roof
To make sure your roof lasts as long as possible, avoid using a power washer when cleaning, as the force of the water can damage shingles. Instead, use a garden hose and a brush to apply a powerful cleaner like Charlie’s Indoor & Outdoor or 1001 Degreaser. Simply dilute 10 parts of our Indoor & Outdoor cleaner to 1 part water. Since our 1001 Degreaser is ultra-powerful, you should only need 50 parts cleaner to 1 part water. After allowing the cleaning solution to sit for fifteen minutes, rinse it away with cool water.
Windows
If streak-free windows are a must, Charlie’s Soap Indoor & Outdoor Cleaner is for you. First, spray the windows with our Indoor & Outdoor Cleaner. Buff the solution into the glass using a microfiber cloth or a sheet of newspaper. Then, thoroughly rinse the window from top-to-bottom, working quickly to prevent streaking.
Siding

Then, rinse the area you’re planning on cleaning, and apply the diluted solution using a large brush. Since Charlie’s Soap is committed to natural, green ingredients, you don’t have to worry that our products will affect or discolor the siding of your home, no matter the material. After allowing the cleaner to sit for fifteen minutes, rinse the area with cool water.
